The first touchpoint was a quick recruiter call, and it felt genuinely easy and friendly. The interviewer had a cheerful tone and kept things light, but still got right into it.
They asked me for a brief about myself, why I wanted the role, and why they should hire me. The conversation also touched on what kinds of things I did to stay motivated, which set the stage for the rest of my experience feeling more like a normal discussion than a grilling.

Difficult Negative Bengaluru
I joined a scheduled 1-hour interview on a Saturday, logged in a couple minutes early with my video on, and the interviewer joined right on time. Their camera stayed off the entire time, and after a quick greeting they started firing questions without introducing themselves or explaining the role. From the very beginning, the pace felt rigid and rushed.
They kept cutting me off mid-answer and moved to the next question before I could finish. I also felt like they were listening for specific phrasing—if my answer didn’t land exactly the way they expected, they’d stop me and pivot. The Q&A was surprisingly short, about 20 minutes, and then they spent another chunk of time summarizing what they thought I’d said. The whole thing ended around the 30-minute mark, which meant I never had a real chance to ask questions or clarify anything.
