After a recruiter call, I ended up with a hiring manager conversation and then a technical panel round with developers, QA, and devops. The hiring manager focused on behavioral questions and also asked me to walk through an app I had tested, including what they should expect from my approach.
The technical part leaned on practical problem-solving. I was asked some leet-code style questions, and the panel also probed more generally into how I think about QA—what I pay attention to and how I approach QA as a discipline. Overall, the process felt structured and fairly average in difficulty, just very execution-focused once I reached the panel.

My interview looked like a normal five-round sequence that included an online assessment. The part that really hurt was how long everything dragged on afterward. I was kept in a kind of holding pattern for over a month, and the communication framed it as “unexpected delays,” even though I later felt like I was being used as a backup rather than the primary choice.
Because of that, the whole process felt needlessly drawn out instead of decisive. Even though the actual structure wasn’t unusual, the experience overall ended up feeling difficult mainly due to the uncertainty and the sense that my place in the pipeline wasn’t fully real.
