At PitchBook Data, the Customer Success Engineer (often aligned with the Customer Success Manager track) is a vital, client-facing role that sits at the intersection of financial technology, relationship management, and data strategy. You are not writing production code; instead, you act as a strategic consultant and product expert for clients navigating the complex PitchBook Platform. Your primary mission is to help institutional investors, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and investment bankers leverage PitchBook Data to drive their deal-sourcing, fundraising, and market analysis workflows.
This role is highly critical to the business because client retention and account growth depend entirely on how deeply integrated the platform becomes in a user's daily operations. You will be responsible for onboarding new accounts, conducting tailored training sessions, and proactively identifying ways to deliver value to high-value financial clients. By helping users solve complex data queries and structural workflows, you directly impact customer satisfaction, minimize churn, and uncover expansion opportunities.
