The recruiting process started like it might be straightforward, but it quickly turned into a stressful loop of paperwork and pressure. After interviews and an initial discussion, they pushed through background verification and collected my documents, presenting it as a necessary step before releasing anything final. What bothered me most was that even after everything went through, they wouldn’t clearly commit to the offer. They also adjusted how they framed compensation late in the process—agreeing on an expected number early, then saying the final package would depend on verification results.

When the offer phase came up, the terms felt like a trap. I was told I had to accept quickly and that the offer included a serious clause—if I didn’t join after accepting, I’d have to pay about 10% of the offered salary/CTC as a penalty. HR repeatedly contacted me after I declined, and it didn’t feel like a normal follow-up—it felt closer to coercion and threats of legal complaints. There was also a lot of talk about bonds and penalties meant to prevent people from leaving after joining, and that messaging made the whole thing feel manipulative rather than transparent.
