I went through a fairly drawn-out process for a big-data role with five rounds total, and I cleared three of them. The later steps were the most memorable: the 4th and 5th hiring manager rounds were held in person in Bengaluru. Up to that point, the overall process felt smooth and professional, and the experience itself didn’t feel hostile or disorganized.
What threw me off was communication from HR. I didn’t get a clear explanation that the final rounds would be in the office, and that created some confusion for me about logistics and expectations as I moved closer to the end of the loop. Even with that hiccup, the structure and pacing of the interview journey felt fairly well-run—just not perfectly communicated on the last leg.
