Average Negative Barcelona

After a recruiter reach-out, my process never really gave me closure. I had a short call with HR, and it felt like the recruiter was moving quickly from question to question without much engagement or follow-up. The technical part was more or less where I expected it to be, but even after I finished everything I was left with silence—no feedback, no clear “yes/no,” and even my follow-ups went nowhere. At one point I was told I should expect an email within a week if I moved on, but weeks later nothing came.

What stuck with me most was how fast the human side disappeared after I invested time. In one conversation, the feedback felt oddly pre-made and didn’t line up with what I thought a screening should have covered; it referenced circumstances and even implied they were revisiting my earlier interview window, but the “why” still felt vague and impersonal. In another stage, the interviewers seemed disengaged and kept steering back to a predefined list instead of digging into deeper components, and after the long rounds I still never got any feedback.

Average Neutral United Kingdom

My journey started with the usual recruiter touchpoint: a short call, then more conversations that moved me into the technical rounds. The structure was multi-stage and fairly time-intensive—live coding, system design, and finally a leadership-style discussion. I was told to expect the process to take some time, and I experienced it that way: several long sessions where I was expected to think out loud and keep momentum across different interviewers.

The system design and final stage were where things started to feel unstable. During one of the later discussions, I lost momentum because the tone from an interviewer was off—they pushed the idea of thinking without actually supporting the interaction, and it made it harder to stay focused. In another part of the process, the questions were strange and very tied to specific programming language details, and the feedback later came down to not answering those “weird” prompts well enough. By the end, I didn’t get a straightforward technical correction; instead, the final stage introduced a concept like “raise the bar” or motivations that didn’t seem to match what earlier interviewers were asking.
