I went through a fairly structured set of interviews and stayed hopeful because the early signals were decent. After the recruiter step and the subsequent technical and hiring-manager conversations, I was left with what felt like silence instead of closure. At one point, after everything was supposedly completed, the recruiter effectively disappeared and I was left emailing without getting a reply.
I also experienced a process that seemed to go well on paper: I heard positive feedback partway through, and the last technical interview ended with signals that next steps were coming. But then the communication just stopped. I waited for weeks for an email from the talent team, reached out to the staff I’d been in contact with, and still got no response. Eventually, I realized I’d been ghosted entirely.

Average Negative Germany
I started off with a recruiter-led process that looked like it would go somewhere. I went through a full set of stages and even when the last interview ended, the recruiter’s messaging didn’t point to a problem. But shortly after the final step, I was told they were pulling all their engineering roles, which explained the process ending so abruptly.
That timing really annoyed me. The effort wasn’t small, and I’d invested time and energy into interviews that, at least from the outside, were moving toward a decision. When I heard the explanation that the recruiter “saw this coming,” it felt like hindsight being used to justify wasting my time. In the end, there was no real redemption through feedback—just a sudden stop, and no offer.
