I started with behavioral questions about how I dealt with different situations, alongside questions tied to my interests and experience—especially around coding and debugging. The interviewers were genuinely nice, and they seemed interested in what I had to say rather than trying to catch me off guard.
Then the technical portion came in with a couple of debugging questions. The way it felt was less about memorizing trivia and more about walking through how I’d reason about issues and resolve them. I also had to talk about the kinds of systems and problems I’d worked with, not just name technologies.

The first contact was recruiter outreach after I applied, where I got emailed some general questions. That was followed by a virtual interview with the team I’d be working with, and it blended general questions with a technical portion.
The whole early process felt structured around role fit. Before the team interview, I understood they were screening for the basics—relevant experience, technical fit, and sometimes eligibility/security clearance details depending on what the role required. In the phone-style conversation, they also explained the position and work environment and confirmed things like my interest, eligibility, and availability.
