After a recruiter call, I moved pretty quickly into a short sequence of interviews—first with a hiring manager and then with the head of the department. The recruiter felt especially well-versed in what the role actually involved, and they even answered some technical questions along the way.
Once I got into the later rounds, I expected the questions to feel more grounded in mortgage servicing because the company and space felt like a strong match. Instead, the questions ended up coming across as pretty vague and not very domain-specific, which was a little jarring. Overall, though, the process still felt reasonably paced and not overly difficult, even if the content didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Easy Negative United States
My interviews started with recruiter coordination and then shifted into a more role-specific sequence. After the initial behavioral/expectation-setting conversation with the hiring manager, the next stage included a technical screen where I was asked about SQL and Python, so the process stopped being purely conversational.
From there, I ended up speaking with multiple team members in separate, individual conversations. The questions leaned more behavioral than I expected at first, but they still pulled me into examples from my experience and details about how I’d handled work. One of the rounds included a friendly, casual tone that made it easier to think clearly, though there was still a harder question that left me uncertain about the ideal way I should’ve answered it.
