Average Positive Chennai

My interview started in a fairly straightforward 1-on-1 online format. It began with a brief introduction, then we reviewed my resume with some back-and-forth questions. After that, I shared my screen and handled a coding question live, and the session ended with time left for me to ask anything I wanted.

In another similar flow, the results were fairly quick, and I went through an initial screening step plus coding and technical rounds. The HR side felt helpful, and the overall experience didn’t drag out for long.

After finishing my interview loop for a frontend software engineering role at PayPal, I received a documents submission email the next day from the bar-raiser round. That was the last concrete signal I got—no further discussions or any mention of salary expectations happened before that point.

Once I submitted the documents, the process basically went quiet. I kept expecting an update, but the role was reportedly on hold due to business changes, and I never received the next step or an offer letter. The whole experience left me in limbo: the timeline felt uncertain after the bar-raiser phase, and the waiting made the process harder emotionally than the interviews themselves.
