My first contact was a pretty helpful HR call, and I talked through what the role was meant to be—Senior Full Stack Developer, with an emphasis that leaned more front-end even though they described it as 50/50. The first real interview was over Zoom and felt friendly: it was technical but straightforward, focused on questions with one of the team members.

The second interview was also on Zoom, and I was told it would specifically cover TypeScript and CSS. That part surprised me: I didn’t get TypeScript questions at all. Instead, I was asked to implement a priority queue class, and then I was given a Figma design and asked to recreate the corresponding CSS. So it became very practical and UI-output focused, more than language-concepts heavy.

I had a fairly clean, straightforward path: after the initial steps, I went through two technical rounds. The experience felt like it went really well, with no major surprises during the conversations.

The disappointing part came at the end. I didn’t receive an offer, and the reason I was given informally was that the position was closed by an internal candidate. I never got clear feedback from HR about the rejection, and I only learned what happened through the person who referred me. The interviews themselves felt successful, but the follow-through and explanation were what stuck with me.
