After a recruiter call that was mostly about my background and interests, I got pulled into a coding assessment. It was short but specific: two medium-style algorithm questions plus a REST-API task. About a day or so later I had a 45-minute technical interview where the focus stayed on practical problem solving rather than just theory.
The process then shifted into an onsite-style loop centered on learning and decomposition. One round had me break down an ambiguous prompt and talk through how I’d approach it; the next felt like a “learn it while you do it” situation where I had to pick up something new midstream and apply it. My pacing and clarity mattered a lot because the interview felt like they were checking whether I could reason under unfamiliar constraints.

Difficult Neutral New York, NY
My process started with a basic recruiter call, then an OA. The OA was followed by a first technical round, and that’s where things already started to feel like a moving target: I had to do decomp and debug as part of the interview flow.
From there, there was a final technical coding + behavioral round. The whole journey had a coin-flip vibe to it—like you could be solid technically and still not progress, or have a rough performance and still get through depending on how the evaluator weighted your work. The technical rounds felt hard enough that small misses mattered.
