I had a recruiter-driven process that felt professional and pretty smooth overall, and the HR communication side was fine. The panel interview itself was okay, but I didn’t enjoy how it went. There were too many random questions that didn’t feel tightly connected to what I’d been discussing.
Even with the friendly tone and the overall “organized” vibe, the randomness made it hard to settle into a steady rhythm. I left the experience feeling like the interviewers didn’t really narrow in on consistent themes, and that pulled down my impression of the process.

Difficult Positive United States
I started with a short recruiter call where we went over what I’d been working on, my stack, and what I was looking for next. A few days later I had a technical phone screen with a senior engineer. That round focused on a coding problem around string manipulation, and then we moved into Java concurrency and how Spring Boot works under the hood.
After that, I went into a virtual onsite that ran as four rounds in a single day. The first one was system design: I designed a scalable order management service using an event-driven approach with Kafka. Next was a deep dive on React and Next.js, including rendering strategies, state management, and how I’d structure a large frontend codebase. Then I did hands-on coding in a shared editor where I built a small API with validation and error handling. The last round was behavioral, centered on cross-team collaboration, handling conflicts, and how I approach mentoring.

Behavioral & Managerial Rounds
Behavioral interviews assess communication skills, collaboration, and problem-solving approaches, often incorporating scenario-based questions. Candidates should be ready to discuss their experiences and how they align with the company's values and team dynamics.
Some candidates reported challenges with initial coding assessments, particularly those that felt unclear or overly focused on specific technical tasks without context. It's important to clarify expectations and focus on problem-solving strategies during these rounds.

Communication & Presentation
Effective communication of thought processes and clarity in explaining technical concepts are crucial throughout the interviews. Interviewers often prioritize how candidates articulate their reasoning and experiences over simply providing correct answers.

Feedback & Follow-Up
While many candidates received timely feedback, some experienced a lack of closure after the final interview, leading to frustration. Candidates should be proactive in seeking updates and clarifications about their application status.
