I went through four rounds, each about an hour long, and the structure made it feel like a full evaluation instead of quick screening. The first round was coding, focused on basic coding skills plus higher-level data structures and algorithm questions. After that, there were multiple technical rounds where the goal was to dig into my technical knowledge and problem-solving.

Then a manager round came next, which was more about teamwork and leadership style rather than pure coding, and finally a director round capped it off with a broader, final decision-focused assessment. Across the technical questions, I saw a mix that included Java and solid principles, plus JavaScript, and also topics around infrastructure and data.

I started with a screening call with a director of engineering, and it was surprisingly friendly and structured. We went beyond surface-level resume talk and I ended up discussing my experience, what I expected from the role, plus how I thought about the team’s work. The conversation also touched on the tech stack and company culture, and it felt like there was real back-and-forth rather than a checklist.

After that, the rest of the process didn’t really take off—my impression was that it became clear the role wasn’t the best match for me and they also felt similarly. I didn’t get dragged through a bunch of stages after that first conversation, and the overall experience left a positive taste even though it wasn’t moving forward. Honestly, the strongest part was how professional and engaging the interviewer was, even when the end result was simply that it wasn’t a fit.
