My process started promisingly, but it quickly became clear that coordination and expectations weren’t as consistent as I wanted. I attended an in-person round with technical design and algorithm-style questions, and then it moved into a panel format with multiple engineers. The panel included background and relevant experience discussion, logic and algorithm puzzles, and a whiteboard session focused on designing a prototype.
I also ran into a similar theme in the way the day unfolded: I expected one sort of round, but the actual structure didn’t match what I was told—coding questions appeared even when the agenda suggested a different profile-and-whiteboard flow. In the broader loop, there were other red flags too: I saw an experience where the evaluation felt unprofessional or off-target, and even when interviewers tried to collaborate, it didn’t come across as prepared. At the end of the loop, I didn’t receive the kind of clean communication that would normally make closure feel straightforward.

After I applied, the process started with a preliminary test meant to check technical knowledge and problem-solving. Once I cleared that, a recruiter call kicked things off, and then the interview loop unfolded with a mix of technical and people-focused conversations. I ended up going through multiple rounds over a relatively smooth process, with scheduling and coordination that felt organized rather than chaotic.
The technical parts varied, but they consistently pulled on fundamentals—data structures and algorithms basics, plus some coding-style questions. There were also moments that felt more like logic assessment than deep research: questions tied to how I approached problems, along with scenario-style discussion around what I’d done in prior work. One of the interviews was with a subject matter expert, and I could feel the focus shift from broad background to how I actually think through tasks.
