My interview split into two very different halves. First I spoke with the project leads for more of a get-to-know-you conversation, focused on why I wanted the role, why I was drawn to them, and what my future plans looked like. It felt more like a fit conversation than a knowledge test.
Then I moved on to a second segment with the research assistants: it was rapid-fire and entirely online, with four tasks to complete within about 25 minutes. The shift was noticeable—suddenly the process was about execution speed and accuracy rather than storytelling.

I was also given at least some space to ask a question back, which made the exchange feel more like a genuine discussion than a pure interrogation.
