I applied for a QA Automation Student position and started with an online HackerRank assessment. The test included Python programming and a set of technical questions.

After I finished the assessment, a recruiter contacted me and invited me to continue with an on-site technical interview. The process was still ongoing when I last checked in, so I didn’t have a final result.

My first step was an HR phone screening. After that, I joined a Zoom interview where I was asked several coding questions. The tone there felt like a gatekeeper stage—once I passed it, I was invited to a second, in-person interview.

The in-person round included more coding questions plus technical riddles. It was harder than the earlier Zoom step, but the interviewers didn’t feel hostile; it was more like they were checking whether I could keep up when the questions got more puzzle-like and less straightforward. I remember the pace and the number of questions feeling like the biggest test.
