My early interactions were polite, but the process itself dragged and felt hard to track. I had a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager conversation, and a product demo as part of the standard flow. I also remember getting some help from the recruiter in preparing for the different rounds, which was useful.
What threw me off was how slow everything was and how little I understood about where I stood. At one point, I had an offer from elsewhere and let them know I’d need to decide quickly; I expected either clear next steps or an update, but I didn’t get any response. After the final round, I only received automated messaging weeks later, and even then it didn’t feel like it came with real context.

I went into the process feeling like it would be simple and informative, starting with a recruiter screen that covered the usual background questions and also my timeline and interest in Notion. The recruiter was straightforward and even explained how the interview process worked. I was told I’d hear back quickly, but after that initial conversation, I ended up waiting and waiting.
For me, a key theme was silence after the early stages. I later made it to a technical screen where the question matched their prep materials closely, and I solved it and passed the test cases—yet I still wasn’t moved forward. When I asked for feedback, I didn’t get a response. After other rounds, the same kind of communication gap showed up again: I was given some vague timing about decisions, then months would pass with no closure.
