Easy Positive Linthicum, MD

My recruiting path felt unusually easy and fast. I started with a short HR screen and then moved to a single Zoom interview where I talked with a functional manager, a senior lab member, and a technical manager who ended up not joining. The whole thing ran just under an hour.

The questions were light in difficulty and mostly revolved around my background and how I talked about my experience. Honestly, I stumbled over my words a lot during parts of it, but the interview didn’t turn into a hard technical grilling. They still gave me space to answer and, at the end, it felt like they were mainly checking that I was a reasonable fit.

My process felt more “interview-shaped” than many of the earlier easy screens I’d done—it mixed technical and behavioral in a structured way. It started with a Microsoft Teams session where I was in front of a panel to review my answers. The questions were split between STAR-format behavioral prompts and technical questions that tied back to what I’d worked on.

The technical part included theory layered into practical explanation, and I had to be comfortable talking through past projects without hand-waving. I remember the session itself being about an hour, and it felt straightforward in the sense that the expectations were clear, but it still required me to actually think rather than just tell my story.
