My journey started quickly after I applied, and the timeline felt tight. I had a first round a few days after submitting, followed by a superday about a week later. Everything was online on Zoom, and the final day was clearly structured around meeting multiple senior interviewers back-to-back.
In the superday, I spoke with an associate, a VP, and an MD, and the conversations blended fit with technical and deal-style questions. A theme that showed up strongly was the Greentech/sector interest—why I wanted that space and the kind of investment thinking I’d been following. I also fielded brain-teaser-style questions at some point, which surprised me because it wasn’t purely finance content.

Average Neutral New York, NY
My first conversation was pretty standard for an investment banking-type screen: a recruiter-style call that focused heavily on fit and motivation. I was asked questions that pulled at my background and why I was interested, and there was even a brain-teaser at the end. The overall vibe stayed calm and not overly intense, and it felt like they cared a lot about my tone and how I came across.
In one technical-leaning phone interview, we went through a few light technicals alongside behavioral questions. There was a moment where I had a brain-teaser to solve, and even though I felt like I was ready, the interviewer cut things short because they were running late.
