My interview process stretched over a couple of weeks and started strong. The first technical round lasted over an hour, and I was asked multiple in-depth questions plus a coding challenge that I completed successfully. I got positive feedback and was told I cleared that round.
Next came a managerial round that also went well. Then I waited while scheduling the final client stage, which took nearly two weeks to line up. In the client interview, I was asked technical questions again and given two coding problems; I solved one and handled the other reasonably well. Even after that, I had another week of waiting.

I went through a chain of calls rather than a single clean interview day. A third-party connector coordinated everything, then I spoke with an HR coordinator, and after that I met a manager along with the manager’s manager. The loop also included the manager’s technical lieutenant, so I ended up speaking with five people total—two from HR and three stakeholders.
The interviews went well and the managers indicated they wanted me to start the next Monday. The connector said the conversation had gone positively and that the HR coordinator wanted to talk to me next, but the HR coordinator ended up stalling and didn’t call me during several scheduled times over the week. Late the following Monday, the connector informed me the role had been filled. The whole situation left me with more confusion than clarity about what HR was trying to finish, and ultimately there was no offer.
