Average Neutral Hartford, CT

After a recruiter process, I submitted a take-home test and then moved straight into an interview. The format felt fairly direct: I had to turn in the assignment first, and then the conversation happened afterward. During the interview, the interviewer asked me something that sounded simple on the surface—about a gasket and an L bracket compressing that L gasket. Even though the question itself wasn’t complex, I ended up overthinking the tolerances in my head and didn’t land on the correct tolerance limit.

The second time through the technical loop, I noticed the interview tone became part of the difficulty. The interviewer started pulling specific details directly from my resume and then jumped to a technical topic about transient heat transfer. It felt oddly abrupt and the questioning wasn’t very smooth or considerate, which threw off my concentration while I tried to respond to a technical question that lasted only a short time.

Difficult Neutral Fremont, CA

My process started with a recruiter call, and then my profile was selected for a formal interview stage. The role description on my end seemed centered around Python, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI, and the interviews reflected that general technical direction. By the time I got into the two technical interview rounds, the pressure was on to show I could connect my background to that stack, but I ultimately didn’t get to an offer.
