After a recruiter call, I moved into a sequence that felt pretty clean and structured: a hiring manager phone screen, then a hiring manager interview, and finally a sales roleplay. The early conversations didn’t feel combative or overly technical—mostly focused on whether I genuinely wanted to be in sales and how I would show up as a person. It was mostly about fit and personality, and even when the questions were straightforward, it still felt intentional.
The part that actually challenged me was the sales roleplay. I met the team and got a real sense of what they expected from the role, and that context helped, but the roleplay itself pushed me more than the other stages. Overall, it was a process I could follow and understand, just with that last step where the pressure felt higher. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the journey felt coherent and I left knowing what the team cared about most.
