My first interaction was an initial screen by an external recruiter, and then I had a telephone screen with an internal engineer. The interview started oddly—I felt like there was no proper introduction and no clear framing of the role, and the engineer immediately jumped into questions.

I tried to keep up, but I didn’t have a confident grasp of the CASB and FEDRAMP topics being discussed. The conversation also included confusion around how SaaS related to IaaS and PaaS, which made it harder to find common ground. It became clear pretty quickly that the call wasn’t going to go well.
