Easy Negative India

My first round was a DSA-style coding assessment with two medium problems. I solved both in about forty minutes, then I still had time left to talk through design approaches and how I’d structure the solution. I answered everything clearly and the interviewer seemed happy with how I was thinking.

Despite that, I was rejected. What surprised me was the specific reason I heard later: for a role that had a heavier frontend/fullstack expectation, they expected JavaScript, and I had done the work in Java even though I had asked whether language choice was acceptable. The rejection felt jarring because the technical outcome seemed strong, but the acceptance criteria felt tied to a detail that wasn’t treated consistently during the discussion.

Difficult Negative Bengaluru

I went through what sounded like a straightforward sequence, but the end of it was frustrating. First, HR called me, and then I had an initial round with the hiring manager to understand my work experience. After that, I went through three technical rounds.

The technical interviews themselves were the main event, and I remember feeling like I was engaged and making progress through each discussion. But once the final technical round finished, communication basically stopped. I didn’t hear back from HR with any clear feedback, and the lack of follow-through made the whole process feel unresolved.
