My process felt pretty straightforward and “by the book.” After getting scheduled, I went through an introductory conversation with the hiring manager, and it didn’t include anything surprising or out of the ordinary. The vibe was calm and standard for the region and industry, and the questions followed a familiar pattern.
I was asked about my past experiences and I had to walk through what I’d done before, along with the typical behavioral-style prompts. Overall, it felt like they were checking fit at a high level rather than testing anything deep or technical, and the interview itself was smooth from start to finish.

Difficult Positive Bengaluru
My interview started off virtually, and it immediately felt more technical than I expected. The focus was on foundational infrastructure knowledge, and the questions were largely built around core basics rather than advanced, niche topics. I was tested on the fundamentals of Linux servers, networking concepts, and storage.
What stood out was how directly the interviewer aimed at measuring foundational understanding. The difficulty felt very high for me because the questions weren’t framed around my past experience or communication style—they were really about whether I genuinely knew the basics cold. Afterward, I walked away feeling like preparation on those core areas would’ve mattered a lot more than I initially assumed.
