Difficult Positive Bucharest, Bucuresti

After a recruiter conversation, I moved into a fairly classic screening-to-technical flow. HR asked a lot of general questions about my background, past work, and my degree, and it all felt like they were trying to understand me before going deeper. A technical interview followed where I got into a mix of OOP and Java fundamentals—things like SOLID and general object-oriented reasoning—along with SQL and topics around Kafka. I also remember a quiz component and a coding interview that felt like it was testing whether I could translate the fundamentals into working code.

I left that technical stage feeling like the difficulty ramped from easier questions toward harder ones, and the interviewer came across as competent in how they guided the conversation. In one spot, the wording in the interview made it harder to follow clearly, but once I got into the substance of the questions, it became more manageable. Overall, the process felt structured and I didn’t get the impression it was random; it was mostly grounded in Java-focused concepts, practical coding, and data-related topics.

Average Neutral Ra`ananna

After the initial recruiter call, I was pulled into an HR screen that went heavy on general topics—my background, my degree, and my past experience. It was fairly standard and didn’t feel adversarial, just like they were calibrating fit before getting technical. Soon after, a technical exercise came up that was tied to a web stack.

I ended up working on a task that I had to complete at home: it involved building something with Angular and .NET, with a short deadline to return it within a couple of days. It was not the easiest assignment I’ve seen because there was a lot to wire together, but the instructions were permissive enough that searching for details was essentially part of the process.
