I started with an HR conversation to get a sense of my background and fit. After that, about a week later, I moved into a technical round with the team alongside a PM, where the tone was more suitability-focused but still heavily technical. The questions were practical and expected to land in the real “day to day” area rather than abstract theory.
What stood out was how much they leaned into troubleshooting and support-related topics. I was asked about areas like network troubleshooting, Active Directory, and even hardware support, and the expectation felt like I’d be comfortable discussing what I’d done before rather than only giving textbook answers. The interviewers were friendly, and while the questions weren’t described as “trick” questions, they definitely wanted me to be fluent in the field.

Difficult Negative Singapore
I was scheduled for an interview and I prepped for it, but then it was cancelled just a few days after it had been set. The timing was extra frustrating because it happened days after I’d done the work to get ready. There wasn’t a proper explanation, and even after going through recruitment agencies, I ended up with a rejection.
What made it hardest to accept was that I never learned what was going on or why I was rejected. I could tell the process wasn’t progressing in good faith, but I still had no clear feedback to anchor my own assumptions.
