Average Positive United States

After connecting with a recruiter, I went straight into a technical assessment that set the tone for the rest of the process. A panel interview followed, and it ended up being surprisingly comfortable—more like an ongoing conversation than a rapid-fire Q&A.

The panel rotated through behavioral and situational prompts, and I spent most of the time explaining my past experience in a way that showed how I handled tradeoffs and ambiguity. The technical portion wasn’t the last word either; the panel still wanted context—how I think, how I communicate, and how I fit with how the team runs.

Difficult Positive Salt Lake City, UT

My first step was a recruiter screening, and then the process opened up into multiple video rounds that focused heavily on culture add and how I would contribute beyond just checking boxes. After those early touches, I had an in-person experience that included both manager conversations and separate panel interviews lasting about an hour each.

The panel format stayed conversation-like rather than intimidating. Questions were tailored to my experiences, and the panelists weren’t solely trying to prove I could “perform” on cue—they wanted to understand how I thought, how I spoke up with suggestions, and how I handled differences of opinion.
