Average Positive Israel

I went through a pretty standard multi-round path for a Senior Software Engineer role. First I had a recruiter screening call, then I talked with a team lead in a 15–20 minute conversation that was mostly about fit and whether I would “fit the project,” not deep technical questions.

The first technical interview was split across several tasks: four total, with three JavaScript questions plus a React task broken into smaller subtasks. After that, there was a second technical interview with more JavaScript-focused tasks, then an HR interview for culture fit, and finally interviews with both the group lead and the head of HR.

Difficult Negative Tel Aviv-Yafo

I started with a phone call and then moved into a 1.5-hour technical interview using Coderpad. The platform seemed to work poorly and it actually knocked me out of focus. What made it worse was that the questions were all JavaScript-focused, even though I was told I could practice in any language beforehand.

The experience ended without an offer, and what I remember most clearly wasn’t just the difficulty—it was the mismatch between expectations and what showed up in the live session. The tooling and language inconsistency made the whole round feel harder than it needed to be.
