I was contacted by HR and did a recruiter screening call before getting into technical rounds. In the first technical interview, I was asked a “bunny hop” style problem: given a coordinate plane starting at (0,0), find how many ways to reach (n,n) by only moving up and right using DFS.

Even though the underlying answer ended up being pretty simple once I understood the pattern, the question format was intimidating at first. What stood out was that the interviewer seemed genuinely engaged and nice, which was a relief compared to some interview experiences where the tone is flat.

Difficult Positive Amsterdam

My process had three steps with five interviews total, including a chat with the recruiter. The recruiter explained the role in detail and seemed knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable asking questions. Overall, the pace felt manageable but I did need to reschedule twice because of last-minute work emergencies, and they still worked with me to move things to the same day.

Each stage felt smooth, and the interviewers were genuinely nice throughout. The vibe was collaborative rather than stressful, and I appreciated that there wasn’t a lot of ambiguity about what was happening next.
