My process for the Software Engineer role felt compact but a bit sharp: there were two technical interviews. The first one was surprisingly smooth, with questions grounded in arrays and strings and stacks, and I didn’t feel like I was stumbling over the basics.
The second round was where the difficulty jumped. I got a graph problem around topological sorting, followed by an extension where I was given a JSON response and asked to build a system that worked by taking an input and handling it through that structure. That combination of graph reasoning plus turning a given JSON into something operational threw me off more than I expected. I ended up not getting an offer, and honestly the second round’s mix of theory and system-building made the gap clear between “knowing the concept” and being able to translate it fast under time pressure.

My Myntra interview started through the Ramp Up hiring flow for a 6‑month SDE internship. After going through the online assessment on Unstop (SmartHire), I moved into two technical rounds. The OA used a mix of questions: fifteen MCQs plus two coding problems, and overall it felt easy-to-medium moving toward medium.
In Technical Round 1, the focus was aligned with what the OA tested and the questions stayed in that easy-to-medium zone. Technical Round 2 continued the coding/problem-solving track and felt a step more demanding, but still within the same overall difficulty band rather than going wildly beyond it. By the end of the technical rounds, I got an offer, and the whole process felt fairly structured—less random than some drives I’d heard about, and mostly centered on solid coding fundamentals and problem solving.

What to expect
Distilled from the reports
Online Assessment
Candidates typically start with an online assessment that includes a mix of MCQs and coding problems, often focusing on data structures and algorithms. The assessment serves as a filtering step, with a clear expectation to perform well to advance to technical rounds.

Technical Rounds
The interview process generally includes two technical rounds that focus heavily on data structures and algorithms, with questions ranging from easy to medium difficulty. Candidates should be prepared for a variety of topics, including dynamic programming, graphs, and tree structures.

Problem-Solving Under Pressure
Candidates often face a mix of theoretical and practical problem-solving questions, requiring them to explain their reasoning and optimize their solutions under time constraints. This aspect emphasizes the need for clear communication and structured thinking.

Behavioral and HR Rounds
The interview process typically concludes with a behavioral or HR round that assesses cultural fit and personal experiences. Candidates should be ready to discuss their projects, teamwork, and career aspirations in a conversational manner.

Supportive vs. Challenging Interview Environment
Candidate experiences vary significantly in terms of interviewer support, with some reporting constructive guidance while others felt the environment was more adversarial. This can impact performance, so candidates should be adaptable to different interview styles.

Overall Process Structure
The overall interview process is described as organized and structured, but candidates have noted variability in pacing and communication, particularly in the HR phase. Being prepared for potential delays and unclear communication can help manage expectations.
