The first substantial interviews were about fit and collaboration before I got deeper technically. I went through a hiring-manager style discussion that covered leadership approach, prior experience, and how I aligned with the team’s goals, followed by a team interview that focused on day-to-day collaboration style and how I worked with others. There was also a more domain/technical depth interview where they probed for the kind of technical reasoning that matters for the role, not just surface-level answers.

The format made it feel like they were actively probing how I’d operate under different expectations, not just asking broad “tell me about yourself” prompts.
