My process felt extremely long, and it started with a recruiter screen, then a technical interview, followed by a hiring manager conversation, and then more technical rounds that eventually led to an onsite. I kept moving through stages, but the overall timeline dragged out.
During the technical interview, I noticed something that threw off my momentum: the interviewer hosting the session was very disengaged and didn’t offer any kind of reaction while I worked through the problem. There wasn’t any acknowledgment—positive or negative—just silence while I tried to solve the task. I genuinely felt that if they had given even a small nod of engagement, I might have had a better shot at finishing successfully.

I applied directly and the whole process stretched to about four weeks. First I had a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my background and how it matched the role. After that, I sat for a one-hour technical interview with a senior engineer, where the problem felt similar to the classic “word break” style of challenge.
Once that went well, I moved into a virtual onsite loop that lasted through multiple rounds: two coding interviews, two system design interviews, a one-hour segment, and a 30-minute product demo. The coding questions landed around medium-hard LeetCode-style problems, and they skewed toward string and hashing themes. The system design rounds were also in the medium range, but the emphasis was on explaining the core concepts clearly rather than just jumping into details. Overall, the bar felt close to hard, but the structure of the loop made the expectations pretty clear.
