Difficult Neutral Santa Clara, CA

My first step was a Zoom coding interview that started with small talk—introducing myself and answering follow-ups about my background. Then the interviewer walked me through a LeetCode-style dynamic-programming problem. We moved into problem-solving right away, and the pressure was very much on correctness within the time limit.

I remember the pacing clearly: I tried to think my way to a correct solution, but there was a point where it wasn’t enough to be right on paper if I couldn’t get to it quickly enough. In that kind of setup, missing time meant the round ended without the outcome I wanted. Across the process, the emphasis felt like the standard “brute force your way through” style of evaluation, where the technical questions were heavy enough to be brutal even if they weren’t the hardest category.
