My interview dragged on for over a month and ended with a pretty cold rejection email with no explanation. I ended up going through about seven rounds, and the pace felt relentless—each step seemed to eliminate me at the end, yet none of it ever came with real feedback.
Most of the rounds were technical, and I felt like I performed strongly in almost all of them. The one thing that threw me off was a machine-coding round where I had to redo it because the API they provided was broken. Even with that snag, I still managed to get through. The last system design round felt only average to me, but overall I’d expected better follow-through.

Difficult Negative Bengaluru
I started with a recruiter process that sounded promising, but it became the kind of slow, frustrating grind that eats up your time. I spent around two months going through a large number of rounds—roughly seven or eight—with many steps that didn’t feel tightly aligned to what I applied for. I cleared everything and even got to the point where HR discussed compensation details and the starting date.
Then the offer got put on hold right before it was supposed to arrive, and after that I basically disappeared into silence—calls weren’t returned and emails weren’t answered. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially given how much I’d invested.
