After a recruiter chat, the process moved quickly into a series of interviews that felt very culture-and-fit focused. I ended up speaking with a hiring manager and then went deeper with multiple directors, with the office team involved along the way. The flow was kept fairly conversational, and most questions leaned toward my motivations, my thinking process, and whether I’d be a good match for how the office worked day to day, rather than me being grilled on highly technical recruitment scenarios.
What stood out was how much time was spent making the role and the setup feel real. In one step, I had an in-depth information session covering the company and benefits, and the role specifics were clearly explained throughout. Across the rounds, I was asked to walk through my experience and also answer questions designed to test cultural fit, with a mix of managers and directors so I could understand different perspectives within the business. Communication from Talent Acquisition was also described as strong, and the overall experience came across as personable and engaging.

Average Negative Toronto, ON
My experience started off like it would be a normal process, but the recruiter’s behavior made it fall apart. I went through the steps and expected follow-up and feedback afterward, but I never received any outcome or even basic communication. Instead, I was effectively ghosted.
On top of that, there was inconsistency around pay range. I was told one range over the phone, but the posted information didn’t match what I’d been given earlier. Between the lack of responsiveness and the conflicting compensation details, it left a really unprofessional impression.
