The process started with a recruiter phone call, then I moved into a technical interview on video where I used their interface to write code. The task was centered on simulating push notifications to other team members, and I had to implement the functions, run it, and validate the output with dummy input.
After that, I had another coding round that also focused on notifications, specifically preventing duplicate notifications from being sent to subscribers. I got the working logic in place with a straightforward approach, but I didn’t manage to explore the optimal direction because the interview began with a longer introductory conversation. I thought my baseline solution matched the core requirements, and when complexity came up later, I felt like I had interpreted the challenge correctly even though my implementation was O(n) rather than something more optimal.

Average Positive Tel Aviv-Yafo
After a recruiter call, I went straight into a coding interview where I did some minimal coding but spent a lot of time explaining my thinking as I went. The process was clearly step-by-step, and after that stage the recruiter followed up with feedback, which honestly helped me understand what they were looking for.
Next came an end-to-end interview with even less emphasis on heavy coding and more on walking through how I’d approach the problem. I then moved into system design, and that’s where I struggled the most—not because I couldn’t discuss systems, but because it was hard to read the interviewer and figure out what level of detail and direction they wanted. I felt like I had good answers overall, but I couldn’t be confident that I was aiming at the exact target.
