I went through a fairly long sequence—about four weeks from applying to the interviews—and it ended without an offer. My recruiter kickoff was followed by a full loop of multiple product/execution interviews. I had a service-ownership style round, exploratory and project-focused rounds, plus design, troubleshooting, and people/org discussions. The loop also included a coding and system-design interview element, so it wasn’t just product surface-level conversation.

What made it feel intense was the sheer number of sessions. Every interview felt like a separate checkpoint, and I remember multiple interviewers telling me they learned something from our conversation, which gave me confidence during the process. Still, the recruiter follow-up became a major frustration: after several follow-ups, there was a long silence before a cold call to say I wasn’t offered the role, and when I asked for feedback they basically wouldn’t share it.
