My process felt thorough and very tied to the day-to-day reality of the consultant role. The recruiter and subsequent conversations made it clear that the interview would map to KPIs and daily output, so I paid attention to those themes as I went. It also stood out that they were listening for whether I understood what the role actually required, not just whether I sounded interested.
The detail that stuck with me most was what I was told about expectations in practice: I heard they expected an extremely high number of dials per day. It was hard to reconcile that with the typical flow of a sales conversation, especially if you’re supposed to run demos and close deals while also making that volume happen. That mismatch, along with how the role was described in terms of compensation, really colored how I viewed the offer potential.

Average Neutral Toronto, ON
After a recruiter screen, I had a call with the manager and then moved into a presentation activity with members of the management team. The format felt very structured: there was a panel made up of three people, and it was framed like a mock sales interview rather than just conversational Q&A. The panel covered a blend of behavioral and motivation questions, and I remember it all feeling friendly while still being very direct about what they wanted from day to day.
The most consistent theme was clarity around expectations—this wasn’t positioned as a relaxed role. They wanted me to show hustle and be prepared to talk through how I would operate in the job, not just why I was interested. Even when the interactions were warm, I felt the bar was tied to performance and follow-through, especially given the sales-y nature of the scenarios.
