I got cold-called by a recruiter about the role midday and I only answered because the timing worked for me. Very quickly it became clear the recruiter didn’t even have the right position—she said Android dev, and I had to correct her that I was interviewing for iOS. After basic logistics like expected salary and location, the conversation turned pushy fast. She asked why I wanted to work there and cut me off mid sentence, then insisted I would have an in-person interview near my city and that an email would arrive the next day to schedule it.
What happened instead was a scheduler reached out for a video interview and I had to rearrange my work to send availability. After that, I received a self-scheduling email, clicked the link the same day within hours, and it told me the link was expired. I followed up noting the link was broken and sent updated times, but they just sent another self-scheduler email—and that one was expired too. Between the rudeness and the scheduling failures, I told them I wasn’t interested anymore.
