My interview path had three distinct rounds that felt clearly separated by seniority: first HR, then a hiring manager stage, and finally an additional managerial round. I expected more content tied directly to finance or insurance because the role was in that space, but the interviews didn’t include domain-specific questions. Instead, it stayed more oriented around the general process of talking through my background and how I thought as a professional.
Because I wasn’t tested on finance or insurance concepts, the hardest part was simply getting comfortable with what they wanted to evaluate. The interviews felt more about assessing how I present and how I operate under questioning than about solving technical problems in the moment.

Difficult Negative Boston, MA
The process started with what felt like normal interview steps, but late in the loop it changed into something much more demanding. I had to figure out my own travel logistics to Boston—handling my own way to get there and even dealing with parking—so the burden felt unusually on me compared to earlier stages.
Then the main event landed as a four-hour interview with a tight week timeline attached to research. I was expected to do a research report after the interview, and even after that initial work, they wanted more. The whole sequence made it feel like the interview wasn’t just an interview anymore; it became an ongoing assignment cycle.
