Average Negative Warsaw, Masovia

My interviews had a recurring theme: they felt unprofessional and oddly hostile, with little real engagement. I ran into interviewers who treated it like a check rather than a conversation, sometimes with attitude or interruptions.

In one technical round, the questions were very basic and even felt oddly framed, and I was rejected quickly after the first interview. In another, the interviewer snapped at me early on, grilled me on an ASP.NET Web Forms area I hadn’t touched in years, and seemed surprised when I couldn’t recall syntax exactly. Another time, the discussion pulled toward outdated JavaScript and a UI framework that didn’t match the vacancy, which made the whole line of questioning feel disconnected from the actual role.

My interviews were all conducted in English, and they leaned heavily toward computer science fundamentals as well as what I’d done in real projects. The early coding portion mixed in some multiple-choice questions, and the coding itself was centered on React.

In the main technical conversation, the pace was intense: there were far more than a handful of questions packed into about an hour and a half. Part of it was based on web APIs—I was given a snippet of code and asked questions about what I could infer from it. The rest pulled in a broad set of topics including dot net/C#, SQL, HTML/CSS, React, time complexity, and ACID properties. I also got asked about unit testing and Linq query optimization, and the overall focus felt like concurrency, OOP, and database concepts as much as day-to-day development.
