I went through a pretty organized, recruiter-led process that moved quickly between steps. It started with a recruiter conversation to go over my background and the role, then I progressed through multiple sales-focused conversations on Zoom. Across those rounds, the interviews were usually around 30 minutes, and they kept the schedule tight with clear communication and fast turnaround between stages.
The middle of the process had me talking with sales leaders and then later moving up into a VP-level conversation. At different points I was asked to walk through my experience and ambitions, and the discussions stayed pretty standard for sales interviews—focused on fit, how I operated, and how I thought about the role. One step also had a stronger emphasis on “culture,” which stood out because it felt like it mattered almost as much as my experience.

My process ended up being a lot more stressful than I expected. I went through several stages over a long stretch of time with a bunch of back-and-forth, and the overall pace felt like it kept shifting. Even though I enjoyed talking with everyone and could tell there were very sharp people working there, the length and the “twists and turns” wore on me.
What really threw me off was how the final step played out. By the last hiring manager interaction, I felt like the moment didn’t happen the way it should have—I didn’t even get a proper meeting. That was the point where the whole experience started to feel unfair and unprofessional, especially compared to how much time and effort I’d already put in.
