Average Negative Luton, East of England, England

I went through an automated online interview after applying, and then I waited much longer than I expected. Months passed with no meaningful update, and the whole experience felt awkward and disrespectful of the time candidates spend preparing.

What stood out was the lack of clarity—if they weren’t going to move forward, it would have felt better to hear that sooner rather than staying in silence. The difficulty of the questions themselves wasn’t what bothered me most; it was the process afterwards, and how poorly it communicated its status.

Difficult Positive Luton, East of England, England

After a recruiter call, I had a short introduction call with the team and then moved straight into a two-hour technical interview. Beforehand, the recruiter shared an information pack about the steps, which made the process feel more organized than I expected. The difficulty was on the harder side mainly because it went deeper into my own research.

The questioning mixed competency and technical themes, and it leaned heavily toward my PhD work. I had to clearly explain what I studied and how I approached the technical problems behind it, not just give high-level descriptions.
