My interview was held online, and it started with the interviewer asking a mix of technical questions followed by questions that felt more personal and contextual. After the technical part, the conversation turned to my family background.
The whole experience felt fairly average in difficulty from what I remember, but the online format was clearly influenced by timing during an internship period. I didn’t end up getting an offer, and the part that stood out most was how quickly the discussion moved from tech into personal context, rather than staying purely on technical depth.

Difficult Positive Mumbai
After a recruiter touchpoint, I had a deep technical screen that leaned heavily on the fundamentals but went wide across languages and database concepts. I was pushed on OOP and C# topics like interfaces, polymorphism, delegates, exceptions, and LINQ, plus collections and core JavaScript/Angular-style concepts depending on the prompt. The SQL part was especially detailed—things like primary vs. foreign keys, joins, DDL/DML/DCL, truncation, views, and stored procedures. It felt like they wanted both correctness and that I could explain tradeoffs while coding and reasoning through scenarios.
Later, the process moved into more people-facing interviews: an HR conversation focused on communication, strengths and weaknesses, teamwork, flexibility, career goals, relocation, and salary expectations. A manager/lead style round also showed up as part of the overall journey, with more emphasis on how I worked and how I approached problems beyond raw syntax. Overall it was difficult, and I didn’t end up getting an offer. What stuck with me was how much they expected me to be sharp on both language fundamentals and SQL specifics, not just on the story of my projects.
