My experience was very light and mostly conversational. I started with a brief HR phone screening and then moved into a single conversation with the hiring manager. That second call centered on behavioral topics—past experience, how I worked, and what I was coming from—rather than deep technical questioning, and it felt like more of a fit check than an assessment.
At points during the call, I noticed a small mismatch in expectations around presence on camera: I was expected to turn mine on while the interviewer’s camera stayed off. The questions themselves were still pretty basic, and the interviewer focused on my background and how I’d apply it to the role.

I first met the team at a career fair. The conversation started with them asking about myself and going over my resume. I talked through the projects I’d done before and what I was interested in, and it stayed pretty grounded in explaining my background rather than anything technical. It felt more like an initial fit check after meeting in person than a formal assessment.
Later, that same campus-style process led into an onsite interview that was short—around 30 to 45 minutes. I spoke with a technical recruiter one-on-one on campus, and the questions stayed fairly basic. I answered behavioral questions and a handful of technical ones, mostly to confirm I understood what I’d listed and could talk coherently about my skills. Overall it felt quick and low-pressure, just focused on whether my experience matched what the group needed at the time.
