The journey I went through was pretty sequential: after recruiter contact, I had an initial operational/manager-style interview call, then a second operational interview where a case study was part of the discussion, and finally an additional call with a senior manager. Each stage felt like another step deeper into how I would operate in the role, not just whether I could explain my résumé.
What surprised me was how case-led the middle round was. I had to work through an actual study as part of the conversation, and the format pushed me to structure my thinking clearly rather than speak in generalities. In the tougher version of this pathway, I did a 2-on-1 interview with senior managers where the discussion mixed some technical questions with a lot of teamwork and collaboration themes. That round also explicitly left a chunk of time (about 15 minutes) for me to ask questions back, which helped the interview end on a more balanced note.
