After finishing my final technical round for the SDE-1 role at Kotak Mahindra Bank, I didn’t hear much immediately. A few days later, I received an email titled something like “Pre Offer Documentation,” which was basically a “you’re cleared technically” signal and a request to submit paperwork.
The message asked for documents including my last three months’ payslips and my current offer letter, plus other standard details as part of that pre-offer step. The overall feeling was that the hard part was already done, but I was still waiting on the next communication for compensation finalization and the formal offer.

Compensation Discussion
Candidates may find the compensation packages offered to be lower than expected, leading to a focus on negotiation and understanding the breakdown of the offer. It's important to be prepared to discuss and evaluate the overall compensation structure during the offer stage.
Initial HR interactions set the stage for the technical rounds, focusing on administrative details and candidate background. These discussions help clarify the interview process but can also lead to a quick transition into more technical evaluations.
