I was scheduled through a recruiting agency, and the plan was to do a video teleconference interview. I rearranged other appointments to make time for it. When the scheduled time came, the interviewer didn’t show up, and I ended up staring at a blank screen for a while.

I tried reaching the company to sort it out, but I couldn’t get through at all. Eventually I received an email saying something had come up and that they’d attempt to reschedule.

The process I went through started with a test that covered basic mechanics and electronics tied to the brake system industry. After the test, I had an interview with a manager from the electronic systems engineering side.

The interview focus was a mix of soft and technical checks: they assessed my basic spoken English and communication, my programming/code skills, and also my experience specifically in brake system work. It felt like they were cross-checking that I could handle both the technical domain and communicate clearly.
